Anyone at any skill level can work with our crew and be taught what they need to know. Volunteer!
No, but if you have your own feel free to bring them.
If they are 15 or older and have parental permission, or better still, a parent with them on site.
We maintain a safe, clean site and have full insurance to supplement whatever policies you already have.

To build homes and purchase land. Our events pay for themselves and we are a volunteer organization. We also give 10% of funds not restricted for a particular purpose to help Affiliates in poorer countries build homes. Since 1996 we have funded 2 homes a year in Guatemala which has a well run HFH program.

We can only store or use a limited amount and type of materials. Contact Chuck Greenberg at 707-964-0942 to discuss your gift.

Not for a tax deduction, but after they move in you may give what you like as you could to anyone else.

We open a round of applications on the web and locally by poster and public notice when we have land to build on. Information will be provided then. We are not now taking applications
You must make between 50% and 70% of the median for Mendocino County (currently $50,000) adjusted for family size, have inadequate current housing,employed with good credit and be a citizen or legal alien. You and your family must understand and be willing to commit your family to our sweat equity requirements and mission as well as be willing to work beyond your required hours on events and other projects when called to do so.
